Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cosmetic Acupuncture is a holistic treatment that uses traditional and modern acupuncture techniques. The treatments are designed for the individual; it involves no injections or surgery and is suitable for all skin types. Unlike other aesthetic treatments there are no long lasting adverse reactions and it does not compromise facial mobility. Treatment schedule and number of treatments will be dependent upon the individual.

What can I expect?

The treatments are tailored for the individual and you need to discuss your expectations with Meshelle before commencing treatments. The most common feeling after acupuncture is relaxation and a sense of well-being.

How long does it take?

Treatments usually take forty-five minutes to an hour. The initial consultation and treatment may take up to an hour and a half.

Can anyone get treatment?

Generally speaking most people can receive cosmetic acupuncture treatment. Pregnant women, women wishing to conceive or people experiencing severe headaches, migraines or dizziness are advised to consult the practitioner before beginning treatment.

Are there any side effects?

Occasionally there is a slight risk of bruising at the insertion site.

Meshelle Bell holds a university degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, a diploma in Traditional Chinese Remedial Massage and a certificate in Cosmetic acupuncture from The Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has lived and worked as a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner within Asia (China and Taiwan) for two years and is proficient in both traditional and modern cosmetic acupuncture techniques.
